CPM denies role in murder of BJP worker
KOCHI: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Thursday said that his party had no involvement in the Dharmadom murder of an RSS activist on Wednesday night. He also deplored the murder. Addressing mediapersons here, Mr Balakrishnan said that elements outside politics might have involved in the case as there was no situation conducive for such a murder.
“If any CPM worker is involved in it, he will not get any aid from CPM,” he added. The CPM state secretary said that there was qualitative difference in the situation after Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took the lead in holding talks recently. He also said that immediately after the murder took place, he called RSS leader Gopalankutty Master and made the stand of the party clear.
Mr Kodiyeri Balakrishnan also asked why the BJP which is angling for holding a land agitation in the state has not done land reforms for even name sake in the states ruled by it. He said that the LDF Government in the state was going to implement a project by which 30 lakh people will be provided land and house. “BJP is trying to claim credit for it,” he added.
