Rs 1.5 crore works at temple K Chandrasekhar Rao prayed in

The Chief Minister who paid a visit to the temple last year said development works would be taken up there.

Hyderabad: The Konayapalli Sri Venkateswara temple in Nagunur mandal of Siddipet district will get a facelift. Major irrigation minister T. Harish Rao on Sunday laid the stone for development works at the temple that will cost '1.5 crore.

Mr Harish Rao said that on April 27, 2001, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao had visited the temple and offered prayers before quitting the Assembly and the Telugu Desam. He subsequently launched the TRS at Jaladrushyam in Hyderabad.
He said Telangana got statehood with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara of Konayapalli. The Chief Minister who paid a visit to the temple last year said development works would be taken up there.

Mr Harish Rao said that the development work would be completed next year, and Mr Chandrasekhar Rao would again visit the temple to formally inaugurate the work.
