All set for Karthika Deepotsavam in Tirupati

Vedic experts will perform Yati Vandanam, Veda Swasti, and discuss the meaning of Deepalankara Seva as part of the celebrations

Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will commemorate Karthika Deepotsavam at the parade grounds of the TTD administrative building in Tirupati on Monday. TTD intends to hold similar events in Kurnool on November 27 and Visakhapatnam on December 11.

TTD joint executive officer (Health and Education) Sada Bhargavi announced this in a press conference on Sunday, saying that TTD has been running this auspicious event in the month of Karthika since 2021 as part of the All Dharmic Projects initiative to highlight the significance of Shiva-Keshava.

"Everything is ready for the Karthika Deepotsavam, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the TTD parade grounds. For the advantage of devotees, the full festival of lights will be shown live on the SVBC channel. Over 2,000 devotees are expected to attend, as are students from TTD educational institutions who will perform in the event," according to the JEO.

Vedic experts will perform Yati Vandanam, Veda Swasti, and discuss the meaning of Deepalankara Seva as part of the celebrations. After Viswaksena puja, Punyavachanam, Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra Parayanam, and Sri Maha Lakshmi puja, students and artists from SV College of Music and Dance will perform a Harihara dance ballet. Lakshmi Niranjanam, Govinda Nama Parayanam by Annamacharya project artists, Mangala Harati, Naivedyam, Nakshatra Harati, and Kumbha Harati will also be performed at the occasion.
