HC Advocates continued stir on third day- CJI meet postponed to Monday

HYDERABAD: Advocates at Telangana High Court abstained from court work for the third day on Sunday, to underline their opposition to a Supreme Court Collegium proposal to transfer Justice A. Abhishek Reddy to the Patna High Court.

Advocates staged protests and demanded to recall the recommendation of supreme court collegium to transfer Justice Abhishek Reddy.

The delegation of advocates on behalf of the Telangana High Court Advocates Association briefly met Chief Justice of India Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, who heads the SC Collegium, on Saturday. Their full meeting was postponed to Monday.

V. Raghunath, association president, said that a decision on the continuation of the agitation would be taken after they meet the Chief Justice of India.
