Modi's mad decision cost nation dear: Poonthura Siraj

He criticised the Union government for the faulty implementation of demonetisation

Kozhikode: Prime Minister Modi's 'mad decision without proper arrangements put millions of people in the country in an uncomfortable situation', said PDP working chairman Poonthura Siraj here on Friday. He criticised the Union government for the faulty implementation of demonetisation. Mr. Siraj has also announced the party decision to conduct a procession from Muthanga in Wayanad to Karnataka Vidhan Soudha, Bangalore with the slogan 'Jeevan Tharam, Madaniye Tharoo' (Will give our lives, give us Madani back) on December 10 against the government apathy in extending humanitarian concern for the party leader Abdul Nasser Madani who has been imprisoned in Bangalore in connection with the Bangalore serial blasts of 2008.

Mr. Siraj said that Congress government in Karnataka was denying basic human rights to Mr. Madani by opposing his bail petition despite his serious health issues. Over 1,000 workers and people from various walks of life will participate in the rally that begins on World Human Rights Day, Mr. Siraj added.
