Saidanima\'s 19th Century Tomb Near Tank Bund Restored Through Joint Effort

HYDERABAD: Restoration work on the Saidanima’s tomb, a 19th century heritage structure near Tank Bund, is complete, the HMDA said on Friday. HMDA had the restoration was taken up by HMDA, the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC) and the state government’s department of heritage.

The tomb was built in the 1880s by Nawab Abdul Haq Diler Jung in memory of his mother Saidani-Ma and was in bad shape for years. The structure also has his tomb.

The announcement regarding the restoration was made on Thursday by Arvind Kumar, municipal administration and urban development (MA&UD) special chief secretary.
