Hyderabad: BJP senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy on Tuesday warned residents of Lenkalapally of Munugode Assembly constituency that they would meet the same fate of Vasalamarri, which was adopted by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, in Turkapally mandal of Yadadri-Bhongir district.
In a statement, Narayana Reddy urged Lenkalapally residents: "He may make a lot of promises covertly to the village to attract the attention of the voters. But I strongly urge the people of the village not to believe them. If they do, then they would be cheated like the residents of Vasalamarri," Narayana Reddy said.
He said the CM had in November 2020 announced that he had adopted Vasalamarri with a promise to modernise it, that the unemployed would get jobs, houses would be built for the homeless, among several other promises." None of them have been kept, Narayana Reddy alleged.
