Kochi: The curtain-raiser of COCON- an international seminar on cyber security was organised by the Kerala Police held here on Tuesday on Infopark campus in Kakkanad.
The star-couple Fahad Fazil and Nasriya Fahad launched the teaser of COCON'18 in the presence of Ernakulam Range Inspector General Vijaya Sakhare who welcomed the gatering and city police commissioner M.P Dinesh.
"Cyber security has been a challenge every industry is facing, be it banking, education, entertainment business etc. As this is one of the biggest cyber conferences in the world, I wish all the best for COCON," said actor Fahad Hasil after the launch.
In a speech, city police Commissioner M.P Dinesh said that more than half of the cases handled by the city police are cyber related cases. "Cyber space has changed to a platform where anyone can do anything, and anyone could be the culprits," he said.
Meanwhile, he also mentioned Hanan Hamid while talking about the challenges in the cyber space. A fake profile of Hanan appeared few days ago with offensive facebook posts. After reporting it to the commissioner, the district cyber cell deactivated the profile. He said she had received many threatening messages too.
Rishikesh Nair, Chief Executive Officer of Infopark and Dinesh Thampi, Secretary, G-Tec, were also present .
