Rain fury across Kerala

Mannarkad in Palakkad district received an extremely heavy rainfall of 23 cm on Sunday, the highest ever in the last 20 years.

The rains chose to keep off on Monday in most parts of the state except in the High Range but not before wreaking havoc across the state on Sunday. Rising waters submerged several low-lying areas forcing people to leave the place; landslips caused damage to crops; trees fell on roads blocking traffic. Scenes from all over the state.
