BENGALURU: A 37-year-old sub-contractor died after he was crushed to death after a wall caved at Hoodi on ITPL Road in Mahadevapura on Sunday morning. Police have identified the deceased as Annamalai, a sub-contractor hailing from Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu.
Police said Annamalai along with 10-15 workers was carrying out renovation work at an old building. The incident took place around 9.30 am while Annamalai along with some workers was at the first floor. An eight-feet wall caved in on Annamalai, crushing him to death.
The co-workers alerted the police and managed to pull out the body from the rubble. The Mahadevpura police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
“We have informed the family of the deceased, who are on their way to the city. As of now we have registered a case of unnatural death,” said a police officer.
