Thrissur: The family of the victim in the actor abduction case in Kochi has come out against former chief whip and Poonjar MLA P. C. George citing that the they were not reacting to his derogatory comments against victim as the investigation officers had given them clear instructions not to come out with any statements as they might adversely affect the investigation. Speaking to DC on Friday, the cousin-brother of the actor said that the silence from the actor and her family over such deplorable comments by a known peoples’ representative should not be consider as their weakness.
The brother of the actor who is a director said that the actor was terribly upset over the comments by Mr George and the family members were not in a position to react against such comments. “My sister had mailed a letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over the diatribe of George last week, and State Women Commission chairperson M. C. Josephine paid a visit to the actor’s house in Thrissur on August 16. We consider it as a private visit as she had come alone to meet my sister. Ms Josephine extended her complete support to the actor and the family,” he added. The brother of the actor also said that the family was not taking any position in the case and the truth would be revealed through the investigation and they have complete trust in the judiciary.
