Security beefed up at Vidhana Soudha

An Additional Commissioner of Police, five DCPs, 20 ACPs, 25 KSRCP platoon and 20 CAR platoons have been deployed

Bengaluru: There was a heavy deployment of police at Vidhana Soudha on Thursday, as Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy along with his party's coalition partner Congress took the floor test in the assembly.

A senior police officer said, “We have ensured that no untoward incident is reported near Vidhana Soudha, as it was being reported that there might be possibility of a huge public gathering, who would want to protest against the current political scenario. Security has been beefed up at all the entrance and exit gates of the Vidhana Soudha. An Additional Commissioner of Police, five DCPs, 20 ACPs, 25 KSRCP platoon and 20 CAR platoons have been deployed.”

“Only the MLAs, ministers, Vidhana Soudha employees, police and media personnel are allowed. Police are also deployed around a 2 km radius of Vidhana Soudha and no one will be allowed to gather in more than five numbers in this area,” added the officer.
