Hyderabad: Respect the Road', an initiative to cut deaths on roads
Hyderabad: The Mahbubnagar police has launched a new programme named ‘Respect the Road’, to increase safety on the roads passing through the district. The programme aims to check road accidents in the district and to limit the number of deaths.

The District Road Safety Cell (DSRC) covers these areas of improvement as well as promoting safe roads, safe vehicles, increasing the awareness of road users and improvements in post-crash response and rehabilitation services.
Police will coordinate with NHAI for improving road safety on NHs, R&B for improvement in road safety engineering, RTA for enforcement , TSRTC for safe driving practices and health department for immediate medical assistance.
“Target Teen Programme, meant to educate underage riders like college students with the involvement of parents is also included in this.
