Hyderabad: Before she left from Hyderabad’s RGI Airport on Wednesday, Kairavi Sharma sent a text to her father saying that she would return home only after finding a job and that she was keen on becoming independent, it has emerged. Sharma, 17, was reported missing from Hyderabad airport on Wednesday. She was later found and is now home safe.
Goa police, who found her at a beach there, handed her over to the parents. She is expected to appear before police here for further investigation. “We are not sure why she travelled to Goa. Once they reach Hyderabad for questioning, will know more,” an official said.
Kairavi Sharma was booked on a flight to Pune from Visakhapatnam on Wednesday — with a connecting flight from Hyderabad. After alighting at Hyderabad, she did not take the boarding pass for her next flight and CCTV cameras showed that she had come out of the airport. Officials suspect she took a train to Goa from Hyderabad that same evening.
