Andhra Pradesh: Cops go all out to help batchmate's family

VIJAYAWADA: A group of United Andhra Pradesh Sub Inspectors from the 1996 batch went all out to help the family of a batchmate who died of a heart attack on March 20.

Malli Nageswara Rao, the CI of Nellore district's Atmakuru police station, died of a heart attack on March 20. A bunch of police officers came forward and contributed Rs 10 lakh after knowing about their batchmate's family's financial woes.

On Thursday, Bapatla district SP Vakul Jindal handed over the money to Nageswara Rao's family members at the district headquarters. He said that the police department will help Nageswara Rao's family.
