ALAPPUZHA: Police has launched an investigation into the incident in which unidentified men allegedly attacked petrol pump employees at Purakkad here. Ambalappuzha police said the incident took place Sunday night. They said three people on a bike in inebriated condition reached the pump to fill patrol. While an employee was filling the patrol, one of the men arrived there in the fit of alcohol.
It made the staff angry, and subsequently, a clash erupted. Following the attack, three employees, Abhimanyu, 26, Noufal, 22, and Amrithanath, 24, are admitted to Medical College Hospital here. In the complaint, the employees alleged that the assailants snatched their money bag and they had lost Rs 9,600. "We are examining the CCTV footage. We'll hold the assailants soon," he said.
