Five individuals lost their lives due to drowning in the Shalmala River near Sirsi

The victims, residents of Ramanbail and Kasturba Nagar, were part of a group of about 20 relatives who had been to an outing near Shalmala River on Sunday when the incident occurred.
Sirsi: Five individuals lost their lives due to drowning in the Shalmala River near Sirsi on Sunday. A joint effort by the police, fire brigade, and swimming experts has recovered the bodies of all the five. The victims, residents of Ramanbail and Kasturba Nagar, were part of a group of about 20 relatives who had been to an outing near Shalmala River on Sunday when the incident occurred.
The deceased are identified as Mohamad Saleem Kaleel Rehaman (44), Nadiya Noorahamad Shaikh (20), Misbah Tabassuma (21), Nabil Noorahamad Shaikh (22), and Umer Siddiq (16). The Sirsi Rural Police Station has registered a case in connection with the incident.
