ICSE releases videos on change in exam plan

Changes in syllabus that come into effect from 2018 to be covered.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has prepared videos to familiarise students about the changes to be introduced in the question paper pattern that will come into effect from the next year. The videos will cover changes in the syllabus for physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics which would come into effect from the year 2018 onwards. The change in the marking system has also been included in the video.

The changes were effected as part of the periodic review of syllabus and textbooks by the ICSE. The videos were uploaded on the website of the website www.cisce.org Students can watch them online. These videos are available on YouTube as well. The council has redesigned the question pattern for science papers in such a way that students have to study everything, a council official said.

Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary of the CISCE said that these videos in addition to guiding students and teachers with the changes in the syllabus also address the changes in the rubrics of the question paper, which comes into effect from the examination year 2018. We hope all stake holders find these videos informative and useful. The videos were made available for viewing on the children’s day, said Mr Aathoon said.
