ALAPPUZHA: DGP Loknath Behera on Thursday ordered an inquiry into Punnapra sub-inspector E. D. Biju jumping the queue of over 15 people to enter an ATM at Kappakada near Punnapra to withdraw money. He directed Alappuzha SP to take action after a television channel aired a mobile video which showed him entering the ATM with authority around 4.30 pm on Tuesday disregarding the people in the queue. He spent four minutes inside, and nobody prevented him. The inspector said he had entered the ATM after seeking the permission of the people standing there. “All of them allowed me,” he said.
