Kurnool: Renowned Telugu novelist Chakkilam Vijayalakshmi, 77, hailing from Kurnool district, died at her residence on Monday night following an extended period of illness.
With a dedicated career spanning over 45 years, she made significant contributions to Telugu literature, producing well-received works including "Poolavanam," "Hemanta Gaanam," "Marubhoomilo Malleteegalu," "Shanti Theeram," among others.
Fellow poets and others who were informed of her passing conveyed their condolences to her grieving family. The funeral was conducted on Tuesday evening.
