Kollam DCC president Bindu Krishna booked for disruption on hartal day
Kollam: Kollam East Police has registered a case against Kollam DCC president Bindu Krishna for blocking vehicles and disrupting public life during the hartal observed by the Congress party on Monday. The Police has charged her under IPC 283 for road blockade, various sections (143,147,149) under Rioting Act and section 188 for violating court order. A total of 100 Congress workers have been booked by the Police in connection with the hartal in the district. Police in Kollam East, Eravipuram, Chavara, Thekkumbhagom, Oachira, Kilikolloor, and Punalur registered cases against Congress activists for disrupting public life on hartal day.
Kollam DCC President Bindu Krishna was seen openly violating the law and blocking KSRTC buses in Kollam, disregarding the KPCC President’s diktat to abstain from blocking the roads and causing inconvenience to the public. She also led the party members to exert force to close down shops in Kollam city including the SBI’s branch functioning in Bishop Jerome Nagar here. Bindu Krishna who allegedly shouted loudly “do not to let a single vehicle on the road” was seen riding pillion on her friend’s motorcycle safely.
