Tamil Nadu govt offers Rs 1000 corona relief to roadside vendors
Those who had not yet availed of the benefit could provide a Xerox copy of the identity card issued to them by the Corporation
The Chennai Corporation has asked registered roadside vendors who had not yet received the Rs 1000 relief announced by the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, to furnish the necessary details with the zonal offices and avail of the benefit.
In a press release, Corporation Commissioner G Prakash said of the total 27,195 registered roadside vendors, 14,633 of them had been paid the relief of Rs 1000 twice. The amount had been credited to their bank accounts, he said.
Those who had not yet availed of the benefit could provide a Xerox copy of the identity card issued to them by the Corporation, mobile phone number and bank account details to the zonal offices, he said.
