Mohan Babu honoured at T Subbarami Reddy's birthday bash

VISAKHAPATNAM: Tollywood actor and filmmaker Manchu Mohanbabu was presented with the Navarasa Nata Tilakam title in recognition of his 40-year acting career on Saturday.

He was presented the award by the T. Subbarami Reddy Lalithakala Parishath at a function to celebrate the birthday of Congress MP Dr T. Subbarami Reddy at GVMC’s Indira Priyadarshini Stadium.

 

Actor Sridevi, Jayaprada, Jayasudha, Venkatesh, Nikhil, Sunil, Ali and Brahmanandam among others.

They said Dr Subbarami Reddy was a generous donor who always celebrated his birthday in Visakhapatnam because of his love for the city and its people.
Mohanbabu also praised the Rajya Sabha member for his continuous contribution to art and culture.

Dr Subbarami Reddy described Mohanbabu as a great actor who had made Andhra proud with his contributions to the film industry and service to the needy.

He said he would continue his spiritual and social services for the people of Vizag, and that his prayers had minimised the damage during Cyclone Hudhud in 2014. Playback singers and local singers led by music director S. Vasu Rao presented songs from Telugu films.
