Vijayawada: Doctors of a hospital in Vijayawada gave a new lease of life to a 10-year-old girl, who was facing the life threatening poly-trauma.
The expert team of doctors including Intensivist Dr Ravi Kumar and Dr Anurupa, paediatric surgeon Dr Varun Kumar, orthopaedic surgeon Dr Saikrishna and anaesthetist Dr P. Nagaraju attended to the patient. They stopped her bleeding, helping stabilise the patient, and then performed the surgical procedures.
Dr Vijay Kumar explained to the media that the girl was brought in a critical condition, as she was suffering from severe bleeding and head injuries. Her injuries included fractures in her left shoulder and left thigh, as well as significant soft tissue damage. A dedicated and skilled team of medical experts attended to her health problems.
“The team worked tirelessly to resuscitate the girl, focusing on improving her blood pressure, arresting the bleeding and creating a pathway for urine drainage. The girl underwent a five-hour surgical procedure to repair her urinary and anal openings.
After five days, the patient was successfully liberated from the ventilator, with both her general and neurological conditions showing gradual improvement.
