Kochi: Kerala High Court has stayed for a month the proceedings against four journalists in News 18 Kerala, a Malayalam news channel, in connection with the suicide bid by a woman journalist. The court issued the order on a plea filed by the journalists, including editor Rajeev Devaraj, seeking to quash the FIR registered against them. The court also issued notice to the police.
Vanchiyoor police had registered a case of abatement to suicide against the journalists after the woman journalist was admitted to a private hospital after the suicide attempt and handed the case to Thumpa police for investigation.
