Hyderabad: The GHMC on Monday imposed a fine of `1 lakh on a restaurant, InnerChef, in Madhapur on Monday as its sewage was overflowing on to the road.
The sewage was flowing past a school down the road, and the authorities ahd complained to the GHMC.
When the corporation staff inspected the area, they found that the overflow was caused as the restaurant did not have a silt chamber as required by the law.
The officials penalised the restaurant `1 lakh under the Swacch Hyderabad scheme.
