Hyderabad: Tanzanian held with cocaine

Police seized the narcotic and took Mbele into custody for questioning.

Hyderabad: A Tanzanian was caught with cocaine on Monday from Langer Houz. Police said the accused, John Paul Mbele, 29, was an active peddler of the contraband in the city.

Acting on a tip-off, Excise enforcement officials raided a place at Langer Houz and apprehended Mbele with three gm of cocaine. Police seized the narcotic and took Mbele into custody for questioning.

Assistant excise superintendent (enforcement) N. Anji Reddy said that during inquiry it was found that Mbele was living in Bengaluru along with his compatriots. He regularly travels to the city and supplies cocaine to the customers of his handler, identified as Emanuel alias Level, who lives in Banjara Layout in Bengaluru.

A mobile phone used by the Tanzanian national along with the cocaine was seized and he was placed under arrest. The seized samples and the contraband was handed over to the Golconda Excise police.
