Hyderabad: Four beaten up by bar bouncers
Hyderabad: The police is investigating allegations that four persons were beaten up by bouncers at a bar in Jubilee Hills following an argument over the use of tissue paper in the washroom late on Sunday.
The complaint was filed by Karthik Reddy, 22, a student. He stated that he and some friends had visited Amnesia lounge bar on Sunday night. His friends Naveen, Sharath, Chandra and Varma went to the washroom and were cleaning their faces with tissues.
Karthik Reddy alleged that a bouncer named Rupesh entered the washroom and started misbehaving with them and asked them to leave the place. Asked why, they were told that the had damaged the mirror. “When we checked, there was no damage to the mirror,” he alleged.
Karthik Reddy said, “When we confronted the bouncers they started beating us. We asked them to apologise and refused to pay the bill till they apologised. One of the bouncers hit me with the rod due to which I sustained a head injury. He also injured one of my friends who came to rescue me”.
Following this, Karthik Reddy lodged a complaint with Jubilee Hills police. The cops registered a case under 324 IPC (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and took up investigations.
