TIRUPATI: Fire broke out at a solvent plant in Malladi Drugs Pharmaceutical Unit in Gajulamandyam industrial area located in Renigunta mandal of Tirupati district, on Tuesday morning. No loss of life has been reported.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. A worker named, N. Sai Kishore, 27, sustained injuries, and he was shifted to Amara Hospital near Karakambadi, where his condition is said to be stable.
Fire tenders were pressed in to bring the fire under control. The fire personnel took one hour to control the flames. Fire Officer Nallari Kiran Reddy and Gajulamandyam police rushed to the spot and monitored the fire fighting and rescue operations.
