Men’s rights group holds conclave in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: To highlight the discrimination and false cases filed against husbands by their wives, the Save Indian Family Foundation (SIFF), a men’s rights group in India held a convention in Hyderabad on Saturday and Sunday. Interestingly, over 200 men activists from all strata of society attended the convention.
Anil Murthy, co-founder of SIFF, said, “A man getting married to a woman is a crime in India. It is even a bigger crime for a man to have a child. He is emotionally tortured and made to run around courts for several years. Further, his parents are defamed and the society looks down at them in contempt and unable to deal with such trauma, most men die by suicide.”
Murthy added, “The aim of this conclave is to chalk out plans for spreading the movement and educating younger men about injustices against husbands due to unfair marriage laws in India.
That will help young men to be careful, avoid marriage or create pressure to change these biased laws.”
“Minor and petty allegations of sexual harassment, child rape and dowry harassment are with a motive to extract a huge amount of alimony or properties.
It is time special courts were created to probe the truth and ensure justice is
delivered to all innocent men,” he said.
