The 400-mm pipeline carrying water to Kesavadasapuram from Peroorkada developed a leak on February 7 at Ambalamukku, forcing KWA to cut supply to Kesavadasapuram, Muttada and LIC areas for nearly half a day. KWA shut down supply in the 48-inch cast iron pipe which carries water from a 72 mld treatment plant at Aruvikkara to the city on February 11 after a major leak in the 48 inch pipe at Koottappara forcing disruption to many areas of the city.
