Telangana: Dry weather may resume tomorrow
Hyderabad: Trimulgherry received 1.25 cm of rainfall on Thursday, the highest in the city, followed by Monda Market (0.5 cm), Chilkalguda, Sri Nagar colony and Narayanaguda. The weather bureau categorised Thursday’s downpour as moderate rainfall.
Across the rest of the state, rain occurred at a few places in Nizamabad, Medak, Karimnagar, Khammam, Adilabad, and Warangal districts.
Meanwhile, Thursday’s wind activity from Lakshadweep to West Vidarbha across interior Karnataka and Marathwada, upto 1.5 km above mean sea level, persists. The upper air cyclonic circulation over north interior Karnataka and adjoining south Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada extends 0.9 km above mean sea level.
The forecast for the state on March 18 is light to moderate rain or thundershowers likely to occur at a few places. Dry weather will prevail from Sunday.
There was also appreciable fall in maximum temperatures at one or two places in Telangana during the past 24 hours. The highest maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius was recorded at Nalgonda and the lowest of 17 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad.
Back in Hyderabad, temperature held at a fairly high 35 degrees but heavy cloud cover reduced ‘real feel’ numbers across the city.
The forecast for the city on Saturday is partly cloudy skies in the morning hours, becoming generally cloudy towards evening or night with the possibility of rain or thundershowers accompanied by squalls.
