Streamlined BEE focus on Andhra Pradesh: LiFE Mission appoints key regional officer

Vijayawada: In a significant move for the prestigious LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) Mission, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) appointed A. Chandra Sekhara Reddy from Andhra Pradesh as the nodal officer for South India.

This strategic decision reflects BEE's keen focus on leveraging the diverse industries and global corporations across Andhra Pradesh and other southern states for advancing energy efficiency initiatives. Reddy, headquartered in Hyderabad, will collaborate with state-designated agencies, government bodies, and power utilities to set measurable and sustainable goals.

The LiFE Mission, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and championed globally, promotes eco-conscious living as a key pathway to tackling climate change. Reddy's appointment, alongside Ashok Kumar Shrivastava as the nodal officer for North India, reflects BEE's dedication to regional implementation and collaboration.
