22nd party Congress will be held in Hyderabad from April 18
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 22nd party congress will be held in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, from April 18 to 22. The CC decided on the number of delegates from each party unit. A total of 765 delegates will attend the congress which is the highest decision making authority for CPM. It will discuss all political and organizational issues.
The draft political resolution to be prepared by PB will be presented at the next CC meeting on January 22. The draft resolution has to be made available to all party members and made public two months ahead of congress in all languages.
CC demanded probe against Jay Amit Shah. It said there was not a single instance yet on which BJP Government took action against scandals.
The party demanded probe into Vyapam scam, Bihar land scam, Panama Papers, Sahara-Birla diaries, Lalit Modi case etc, The CC demanded a central ban on all gau rakshak sena and all such RSS-inspired private armies. The central committee condemned the writing off of Non-Performing Assets (unpaid loans) of the big corporate amounting to more than '2 lakh crores (roughly one-fifth of the total of 11.5 lakh crores including interest), instead of initiating recovery proceedings. In sharp contrast, when small farmers and those with small amounts of loans are unable to pay back, their properties are confiscated.
