Jagan to inaugurate Vanijay Utsavam on September 21
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will inaugurate a two-day Vanijya Utsavam-2021 here on September 21. Minister for industries Mekapati Gautham Reddy released the event’s logo on Thursday.
Gautham Reddy said that as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, a celebration to commemorate 75 years of independence, the Department of Commerce is organizing 'Vanijya Saptah' from September 20-25 with a focus on economic growth, especially promotion of exports.
He said that the state government and Plastics Export Promotion Council (PLEXCONCIL) are jointly organizing Vanijya Utsavam, besides an ‘Exporter’s conclave’ in district headquarters from September 24-26.
The minister said that they are expecting a footfall of over 1,000 exporters from various sectors. He said that AP currently stands at fourth with merchandise export value of $16 billion in 2020-21 and the State is active in realizing export targets of the Centre and aims to double them by 2030. He explained that the event aims to create a platform that can facilitate cordial meetings of exporters and potential exporters with policy makers, industry players and export facilitators.
