Youth on his way to exam centre crushed to death at Aluva Railway Station

Kochi: A 24-year-old youth was crushed to death after he fell from a moving train while attempting to board it at the Aluva Railway Station on Tuesday. Abhilash, a native of Vazhakulam, reached the station only to find the Thiruvanantha- puram- bound Netravati Express started moving.

“The mishap happened at 2.20 pm. He was on his way to Kollam to attend an examination on Wednesday. The train had started moving when he reached the station. But he ran along and then tried to board the train. He slipped and fell in the gap between the platform and died instantly,” police said.
