Thrissur: A 28-year-old man died at a private hospital in town after he met with a bike accident here on Monday morning. The bike was hit by a speeding car near The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (erstwhile Sarangi Theater) on Chiyaram Road at 9.45 am. The deceased is Binosh K.S, son of Kuttiyil Soman a resident of Vadookara. He was an employee with a private firm in Kuriyachira and was also a kurumkuzhal artist.
He suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to Sun Medical and Research Centre, where he was kept on a ventilator. He died at 10.45 p.m on Monday. Nedupuzha police said that they were yet to arrest the car driver, who allegedly caused the accident and fled from the spot in his vehicle. A red-colour chevrolet car has been taken into custody but its driver has claimed that the youth was hit by another vehicle which later hit his car.
“There is an eyewitness to the incident who is a resident of Chiyaram. But, he was away from home on Tuesday and therefore we could not record his detailed statement. The scientific expert has collected details of the chevrolet car as a part of verifying his claims,” officials at Nedupuzha station told DC.
