Vijayawada: Two separate road accidents resulted in the death of 7 in Visakhapatnam and Guntur districts of the state on Wednesday, police said.
Four persons in a jeep, including its driver, were killed and three others injured in Paderu agency area in Visakhapatnam district when the vehicle rammed into a tree on a ghat road.
20 people were in the jeep when, it hit the tree as the driver was trying to avoid a collision with a two wheeler, Police said. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Paderu.
In another major accident, a private bus rammed into a stationary lorry at Piduguralla town in Guntur district on Wednesday morning. The accident killing three persons, including two elder sisters of the same family, while nine other passengers sustained injuries and were shifted to a hospital in Narsaraopet.
The bus was on its way to Nellore from Hyderabad, the police further added.
