VIJAYAWADA: As part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations year of the Nallurivari St. Matthew's (NSM) Public School at Patamata here, the Alumni organised run from IGMC Stadium to NSM Public School on Sunday.
Many alumni of the school have come from various destinations and enthusiastically participated in this run. This run has evoked a huge response from the alumni and present students.
Vijayawada sub-collector Aditi Singh flagged off the run at the IGMC stadium and she enthusiastically participated in the run on MG Road. The performance of the aerobics team and the encouragement for them from the audience to join in the dancing exercise turned out to be the main attraction of the run.
Chief guest sub-collector Aditi Singh praised the school for the yeomen service rendered. In the same breath, he told the young, present-day students to grab every opportunity that the school provides them.
The alumni’s spirited involvement and unceasing efforts to make the event a success is a bright jewel in NSM’s crown, she said.
The event marked the beginning of the year-long celebration with the alumni in collaboration with the management taking the lead in ensuring that the celebration, togetherness and altruism happen every month.
From July to December, the plan is to conduct medical camps, sports meet and felicitation for the teachers and a grand finale.
The golden jubilee celebrations organising committee convener Nalluri Jagadeesh, its members Krishna Kiran, Jaya Narayana, Ravi Kumar, school correspondent Mount, principal Bro Rayappa, vice principal Bro Balareddy, coordinator Bhramaramba Kumari others were present.
