RPF begins action against MBT leader for his remarks

HYDERABAD: The Railway Protection Force initiated action against Majlis Bachao Tehreek leader Amjed Ullah Khan after he claimed that the RPF has arrested a group of girls while claiming it to be a rescue operation. He claimed that the girls were arrested despite showing age proof and demanded action.

The RPF said his complaint was false.

Tagging minister K.T. Rama Rao and Hyderabad police commissioner C.V. Anand, Khan said in a tweet that the RPF and the Government Railway Police had arrested 11 girls from Hyderabad who travelling back from Khammam along with their mothers after attending a marriage.

He alleged that the girls “for reasons not known” were sent to the observation home for girls at Nimboliadda. “They were subjected to strict questioning in spite of showing tickets and Aadhaar cards.

The RPF responded stating that said the allegations were false.

"The complaint has been verified and found to be false. GRP has registered a case U/S 370 regarding human trafficking. The Child Welfare Committee has verified the case. The person who has made this complaint has done so without verification of facts and misled the public and legal action is being initiated," the RPF stated.
