Bhongir MP meets Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi

Hyderabad: Congress Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Friday met AICC leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and requested her to announce candidates three months prior to the Assembly elections that are due at the end of the year.

The MP discussed with Priyanka Gandhi, Telangana Congres activities and especially the padayatra of CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. After the meeting, Venkat Reddy told mediapersons that they had discussed several issues and that he had requested Priyanka Gandhi to visit Telangana every 10 days and tour all 33 districts.

He said that Priyanka Gandhi had consented to visit Telangana and tour the districts and directed the state party to organise meetings after July 15.

"After winning in Karnataka, a similar strategy has to be implemented in Telangana for the Congress to come to power. We are working to bring the Congress to power,” he said.
