KOZHIKODE: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will honour Jnanapith winner MT Vasudevan Nair with the Literary award on February 24 at Kozhikode Beach. To honour and hold a tribute to the legend, a one-week-long cultural programme will be conducted in the city starting from February 18 to 24. Film festival, book fest, cultural programmes, national literature seminar, presentation of various dance forms and competitions for students and women will mark the one-week-long programme. Documentaries about MT, including ‘Kumaranellooirile Kulangal’ and 'A Momentous life in creativity' will be screened during these days.
On February 21, Minister A.K Balan will inaugurate the temporary museum to be set up at Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Art Gallery. The museum will have all the works of MT in addition to articles, reports and photographs of MT. The highlight of the museum will be the photographs of MT starting from the beginning of his life as writer till date, organisers said.
