KHAMMAM: Farmers of Pedamunagala in Konigerla mandal, whose lands are being acquired for the Greenfield national Highway, are demanding compensation on par with lands acquired for Khammam collectorate.

Farmers K. Srinivasa Rao and Narahari said it is painful for them to break their bond with their lands. Revenue officials should keep this aspect into consideration while fixing compensation for lands being taken over.
