Chennai: Actress Trisha was never an active member of Peta, claimed the 33-year-old actress’ mother, Uma Krishnan. Trisha's mother preferred a complaint with the city police top brass on Monday seeking action against the miscreants who had hacked Trisha's twitter account.
Uma Krishnan also reiterated that Trisha would not join hands with Peta in future campaigns as well. “She was never an active participant with Peta. Since her schooldays she used to care for the native dog breeds. She would advise people to prefer raising native breeds rather than the imported breeds.
Peta trucked with her for a photo-shoot to adopt strays for want of bigger reach and they succeeded in it,” she revealed. “We are also Tamil women. We are not against any Tamil culture and jallikattu. Someone has hacked her (Trisha's) twitter account and made a post. She had to login again and lock her account down, and finally deactivate her twitter handle. We have been in this field of cinema for over 15 years, and have not seen anything this rough,” Uma Krishnan told the media after meeting the city police top brass over regard to the ongoing row over the social networking sites and the nasty derogatory posters on Trisha opposing jallikattu.
