THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 11-month- old girl child succumbed to injuries she suffered during a road accident at Kallambalam on Wednesday. The deceased identified as Asna, daughter of Yousuf of Kallambalam was travelling to Paripally along with her mother Naseera at around 3pm. When the autorickshaw reached 28th mile, a truck travelling in front of the vehicle halted suddenly.
Yuosuf applied brake and turned right as a part of futile evasive maneuver. The left side of autorickshaw banged against truck and the mother and newborn were hurled outside. The child suffered serious head injuries due to the fall. She succumbed to the injuries at SAT hospital on Thursday.
