Naidu Jailing: Bhuvaneswari, TD Leaders Register Protest with Handcuffs

\"The YSRC government booked false cases and sent Naidu in remand,\" TD leaders alleged

Kakinada/Vijayawada: Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneswari, NTR family members, Telugu Desam MLAs, leaders and cadres registered their protest against the former chief minister’s jailing, by tying their hands with ropes, ribbons, and handcuffs for five minutes from 7 pm on Sunday.

This was as per a call given by the Telugu Desam general secretary Lokesh. Bhuvaneswari, NTR family members, Peddapuram MLA Nimmakayala China Rajappa, Rajamahendravaram Rural MLA Buchaiah Chowdary and others staged the protest at the temporary residence of Bhuvaneswari in Rajamahendravaram.

They raised slogans for immediate release of Naidu and withdrawal of the cases. “The YSRC government booked false cases and sent Naidu in remand,” they alleged.

In Kakinada, TD cadres led by the city TD president Mallipudi Veeru staged the protest by tying handcuffs to their hands. Veeru said that Naidu would come out of the cases like a clean pearl. TD leaders Pallivela Ravi, Anantha Kumar, Appa Rao and others were present.

Former MLA J.V. Appa Rao and the party cadre registered their protest at NTR statue near NH at Gandepalli in Jaggampet constituency.

Meanwile, Lokesh said he suspected a threat to Naidu’s life inside the jail. “The state government is acting in the most dubious ways though the health condition of Chandrababu is not satisfactory,” he said.

Former minister Nakka Anandababu accompanied by Telugu Yuvatha leader Ravipati Saikrishna and others participated in the protest at the Lodge Centre in Guntur.

Ex MLA Swamy Das and leaders participated in the protest at Tiruvuru of NTR district. In Ongole, a protest rally was held by TD leaders led by former legislator Damacharla Janardhan.
