Ministers, Mayor Visit Infosys Site in Vizag to Inspect Arrangements

Amarnath said more IT companies would start their operations from Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Ministers Adimulapu Suresh and Gudivada Amarnath along with Mayor Kumari visited the IT SEZ Hill 2 where Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will inaugurate the Infosys Development Centre on Monday.

Suresh said the Infosys management took all measures to create the right ambience for the workforce. Initially, 1,000 employees would be working.

Amarnath said more IT companies would start their operations from Visakhapatnam.

Later, talking to the media, the ministers said the government was attempting to make Visakhapatnam the Beach IT destination. They visited the beach at Rushikonda and inspected the beach cleaning machines that would be formally launched by the CM. GVMC commissioner Saikanth Varma explained the functioning of the machines to the ministers.

Collector of Anakapalli, R.P. Shetty and SP, K.V. Murali Krishna and other officials visited Atchutapuram SEZ where the chief minister would inaugurate Eugia Sterile Pvt Ltd. The officials also visited the Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City where the CM would participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of Laurus labs.

In Visakhapatnam, tight security would be ensured for the CM’s visit.

Police Commissioner Ravi Shankar held a review meeting with cops on Sunday and discussed the security arrangements at IT SEZ, Madshurawada, Rushikonda and at the airport. Around 1,200 police personnel would be deployed for the purpose.
