Victory reflects sentiments against LDF: Ramesh Chennithala
ALAPPUZHA: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has said the CPM and the BJP could not win over the Vengara constituents with power. Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Mr Chennithala said it was a setback for CPIM which tried to misuse the police force to influence voters. "BJP crumbled entirely in this election. Amit Shah is unable to make lotus bloom in Kerala. It’s evident that BJP votes moved into the CPM kitty," he said.
"UDF can’t be dismantled with such secret deals. LDF leaders had predicted a sabotage. But nothing happened. The victory is spectacular. The base of UDF is very much secure. It does not matter that Mr Khader was unable to retain the victory margin of P. K. Kunhalikutty. This victory is the reflection of people’s sentiments against LDF government."
