The colleges have to publish the details on Thursday itself and email them to the ASC.

Thiruvananthapuram: The admissions to MBBS courses in six medical colleges which have failed to comply with the norms laid down by the Admission Supervisory Committee (ASC) headed by Justice J.M. James have been cancelled. The ASC has asked the principals of Mount Zion medical college, Adoor, Sree Gokulam Medical College, Venjarammood, PK Das Medical College, Ottappalam, Travancore Medical College, Kollam, Kannur Medical college, Kannur, and Karuna Medical College, Palakkad, to republish the list of eligible candidates.
The allegation was that these colleges did not publish the NEET ranks, the percentile obtained by the applicants and the list of the eligible candidates for seats under management and NRI quotas. The ASC asked the colleges to publish the total online applications received for MBBS admissions 2016-17 and also the details of the defects noted by them in respect of the applicants and the method through which such defects were rectified.
The committee also sought the list of eligible applicants for MBBS admissions, the list of rejected candidates and that of the candidates seeking admissions under management and NRI quotas, prepared strictly on inter se merit based on NEET rank list. The colleges have to publish the details on Thursday itself and email them to the ASC. The principals have been told to implement the directive of the committee with immediate effect and ensure that candidates are admitted on inter se merit, maintain strict transparency and academic excellence and prevent capitation collection and exploitation. The violators will face action under the provisions of Act XIX of 2006.
