Student ends life as KCR failed to give jobs: Revanth

Hyderabad: TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy alleged in a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday that a student, whom he identified as Raj Kumar, had ended his life and questioned Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for failure to provide jobs. “The CM claims that he is providing lakhs of jobs. All the exams end up in leakage of question papers. He is answerable for these deaths,” Revanth Reddy said.

The TPCC chief said the student from Bottalathanda in Mahbubabad district had graduated from a National Institute of Technoligy (NIT) and appeared for the assistant engineer examination held on January 22, The exam was cancelled due to question paper leak and held again in May.

Family members told the media that Raj Kumar had been a topper all along, getting 989 marks in Intermediate and 85 per cent in NIT.

“It’s not that he cannot get another job. He just could not take the failure to secure a job. The government should be careful when they are setting a paper for an exam. His parents are dependent on him. Their’s is a poor family,” a family member said. Raj Kumar has a brother who isn’t keeping good health.

“Despite his poverty his father educated him in a private school. All his earnings were spent on Raj Kumar. Who will look after that family now,” he asked. “We did not recognise Raj Kumar was depressed.”
